If you think you don’t have any room to get creative with your false lashes, think again!
In my opinion, ‘falsies’ are one of the most underrated beauty products out there. Many people feel intimidated by them, and I sort of get that; I used to feel that way to when I firstly started doing my makeup more seriously. However, once you have practice a bit and have got the hang of things, they can become an essential element of your makeup routine.
Today, I wanted to talk about them in a slightly different, more unique way. In fact, we are going to talk about two ways you can spice up your regular black lashes and turn them into something quirky, special and eccentric, even!
The cool thing about both of these DIY False Lashes projects is that they are both washable ones. That means that by the end of the night you can wash everything away and start the following day with a brand new canvas! How cool is that?
Both of these DIYs are quite simple and quick to execute, and you most likely already have everything needed. I will include links to the original posts as well, so you can have a better in-depth tutorial to follow.
So, are you finally ready to find out more about these 2 DIY False Lashes Projects You Have To Try?
Let’s get started!

This DIY Project is not only quite fun to make, but is a pretty interesting way to let your creativity roam free. It’s also a pretty effective way to go through some makeup that would take a while to finish!
You want to thinly coat your false lashes with a light concealer shade, then cover them with another thin coat of eyeshadow. You can easily create gradient effects with multiple shadow hues, or simply experiment around with different color combinations!
Although slightly lengthier compared to the second DIY we’ll talk about in a moment, this project is definitely a fun way to add some additional spice to your makeup look. You can rinse off the color with some gentle cleanser and lukewarm water.
You can find the article with in-depth instructions and more ideas here!
This second DIY project is much more ‘straight to the point’ than the previous one, but it’s still a fun and distinctive way to add some ‘oomph’ to your lashes.
To create this effect, you’ll need a pair of false lashes, clear lash glue and a few appliques. Seems simple and forward enough, right? Simply apply the lash glue where you want the trinkets to go, then glue them on. Easy as that!
Once you have had enough of a particular design, use some gentle cleanser and lukewarm water to rinse them off. Allow them to dry down completely, and they’re all ready to be re-modelled once again!
