One of the most recognizable Old Hollywood faces, Hepburn’s talent made her the third-greatest female legend (ranked by the American Film Institute).

WHO IS AUDREY HEPBURN?

Born in the early days of May of 1929, making her a Taurus, Audrey Hepburn was a Classic Hollywood legend.

She was the very first woman to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for a single performance (Roman Holiday). She was a trained ballerina in her younger years, and has starred in many classic movies like “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Sabrina”.

Ok, now that we have an idea about who Audrey Hepburn was, let’s find out something more about her beauty routine!

SEPARATING YOUR EYELASHES

Now, I wanted to start off with this trick because it’s quite fascinating – although it does feel like it’s the most time-consuming.

Audrey Hepburn stuck to the habit of separating her lashes ONE BY ONE after applying mascara. One by one – can you imagine?

She and her makeup artist would use tweezers, but you can easily use a clean mascara wand or eyebrow comb. It’s crucial you do so immediately after applying mascara, so you can have a cleaner finish!

ERNO LASZLO IS THE (NOT-SO) SECRET

Erno Laszlo’s brand has been around for almost 100 years, and used to be the go-to for Old Hollywood stars – and that includes Audrey Hepburn!

Much like Marilyn Monroe (whose beauty secrets you can find here), Audrey Hepburn relied on Laszlo’s products when it came to her skin care. In fact, the actress famously once said:

“I owe 50% of my beauty to my mother, and the other 50% to doctor Laszlo”

HYDRATION – AND A SPECIAL DIY FACE MASK

Like I briefly mentioned in the previous section, Audrey Hepburn was all about hydration in all forms – both in the form of simply drinking water, and implementing more moisturizing agents in her skin care.

The world class humanitarian was quite keen on using many moisturizers and face oils, but one product she frequently used was a homemade face mask – made from greek yogurt!

She would simply apply greek yogurt to her freshly-cleaned face, let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash it off. She swore by this homemade remedy, as it would simultaneously exfoliate and hydrate her skin thanks to the lactic acid.
