If you have browsed through my blog before, you most likely know how obsessed I am with DIY skincare products. From acne remedies to just fun little projects, I can’t get enough of them!
People can often feel intimidated when it comes to DIY skin care. However, I am here to tell you that crafting your own solution is actually much easier than what you may think – and this green tea facial mist is just the proof!
Another great passion of mine, besides makeup and skincare, is tea. I drink it everyday – maybe even too much – and I love how many good benefits it has for my body and skin. Particularly, I am in love with the star of this recipe: green tea.
Green tea has a lot of amazing properties for your skin and body, which we’ll get into in a minute, but did you know that it can be the main ingredient for a little product that can help you transform your face?
Let’s see how easy it is to craft this DIY facial mist up!

Before jumping into the tutorial, let’s get up close and personal and find out something more about these ingredients, shall we?
Green Tea is a very powerful anti-aging ingredient, but also has great anti-inflammatory properties. This comes especially handy for people with sensitive skin! Moreover, it has amazing anti-bacterial properties. This is perfect for people who need to unclog their pores or want further help fighting acne.
Vitamin E, on the other hand, is not only the ingredient that will help you preserve this facial mist better, but also a powerful antioxidant. It will help you protect and replenish your skin from free radicals’ damages. It’s also an amazing source of hydration!
I like to start with a boiling cup of unsweetened green tea; as soon as the tea is perfectly infused and I can throw the tea bag away, I add the Vitamin E. If you’re working with a tab (like me), leave it in the hot liquid for about a minute and then break it into it. Then you’ll just need to mix everything up.
At this point, I prefer to let the liquid cool completely before pouring it into the spray container. It’s safer for both your skin and your bottle!
And your DIY Green Tea facial mist is all ready to go!
I like to use this spray as part of my skincare routine (right before my moisturizer), but also at random times throughout the day when I’m not wearing any makeup at all. It helps keeping my skin healthy and glowy, and doesn’t break the bank!
