There are a few DIY face wash recipes on this blog. I must admit they’re one of my favorite beauty products to craft (along with face masks, of course)!
What I like the most about a good face wash is how different it makes your skin look immediately. You don’t even have to wear makeup to notice it. If you do it just has the added benefit of helping you remove it!
I wouldn’t exactly substitute this particular recipe to your regular micellar water. However, it will definitely help get those stubborn particles to disappear – once and for all.
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY face wash – and know something more about its benefits?
Let’s get started!
Like always, before jumping straight into the crafting process, we are going to talk a little bit about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
Castile Soap is traditionally made from olive oil, but can come from coconut, avocado or hemp as well; also, it is the closest relative we have to the original soap made in ancient history. It helps cleansing and nourishing the skin, and penetrates the pores perfectly. In addition, it could help reduce acne and balance the natural oil production of the skin.
Aloe Vera Gel is one of the most popular skincare ingredients out there, and offers a good variety of benefits. This gel can help gently exfoliate the skin while efficiently moisturizing it, and fight acne and blemishes all the while. Moreover, it can help shrink pores and remove stubborn makeup from the face.
Another popular ingredient when it comes to skincare, Almond Oil is another amazing moisturizing element of this DIY face wash. This oil can help reduce swelling and puffiness. Also, it’s great when it comes to treating dark circles, acne and discoloration.
The first thing you want to do is mix your Castile Soap with the Almond Oil. These two have a somewhat similar consistency; blending them together is the first step to a cohesive and smooth end result.
Once you’re happy with your liquid base, it’s time to add the Aloe Vera Gel and mix everything once more; this time, you really want to go slow and stir everything for about 5 minutes, to ensure the ingredients really got to know each other.
And your DIY Face Wash is all ready to go!
