Hey, pretty people!
Haircare is increasing its popularity more and more on the blog, so I thought I would spice things up a bit and propose something new. I always try to come up with more creative ideas on all fronts, and I must say I am quite proud of this one!
You have all heard about masks and scalp exfoliators, but what about a light, water-based hair lengthening treatment? Sounds interesting, right?
Featuring a total of 3 ingredients, this DIY Hair Growth treatment is insanely easy and quick to craft. You can easily apply it and leave it on overnight for best results, and then rinse it off with a good shampoo the following morning. Seems good enough, right?
The best thing about this product is that you most likely have all the ingredients lying around in your kitchen, ready to be put to good use.
So, are you ready to find out how to make this DIY Hair Growth treatment?
Let’s get started!

Per usual, we are going to get up close and personal and find out something more about these ingredients.
This is our base – the best water-based ingredient to promote a healthy scalp and, subsequently, hair growth. It’s also a great choice to heal itching scalp and fighting dandruff! On top of that, you might want to know that it’s a great ally against split ends and one of the best natural ingredients to add shine to your hair.
Truthfully, I put dried rosemary leaves in the list above just because I thought that’s what most people have in their kitchen. Feel free to use whichever rosemary leaves you have lying around! Did you know that rosemary helps blood circulation to the scalp, therefore stimulating hair growth? Well, neither did I. It’s also pretty good to nourish and add a bit of shine to your hair, as well as preventing dandruff.
Aloe Vera gel, our third ingredient, is undoubtedly one of the most popular when it comes to haircare. Fights dandruff and provides relief to an itchy scalp? Check. Adds shine and promotes hair growth? Check. Great moisturizer? Check. Feel free to sing along to Ice Cream Paint Job now. If you’d rather use an oil version of aloe vera, you can click here to find out how to make aloe vera oil!
Lastly, Vitamin E Oil. This is truly an optional choice, but I do like to toss a tab into the mix from time to time. In fact, this oil improves greatly scalp circulation and prevents hair loss, but can also balance oil production. That is particularly good for oily hair types! Moreover, it supports a healthy scalp and adds a little bit of shine.
I like to put the rosemary leaves in a cup with the Chamomile Tea bag first, then pour hot water on top.
Then, I add the Aloe Vera gel and Vitamin E oil tab and stir everything together for a while, to make sure the mixture is perfectly combined.
Once the liquid has completely cooled down, I pour it on my hair like I was going to rinse it with it. After that, I put a shower cap on and go to bed. If you don’t feel like committing to the overnight part, just let the liquid sit for a couple of hours and then proceed with your regular shampoo & conditioner routine.
Since this treatment isn’t particularly heavy, you could easily repeat it from one to three times per week. Make sure to always shampoo and condition your hair afterwards, though!
