Chamomile tea is one of my absolute favorite skincare ingredients ever, and is often featured in my DIY Recipes; I think it is a pretty underrated product, which is also why I keep bringing it on my blog.
Much like most of the DIY solutions I post, this recipe is an incredibly easy and inexpensive one to craft. In fact, I am willing to bet you already own everything you’ll need to make it!
It is a great formula to brighten the complexion, and is quite good for sensitive skin as well; it will help you fight acne and texture, and possibly fight the heat throughout the Summer.
So, are you ready to find out how you can make your very own DIY Chamomile Tea Face Toner? And know something more about its benefits?
Let’s get started!
Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your skin.
The real definition of ‘gentle’, Chamomile Tea is an ingredient that will make your skin nice and healthy. It is perfect to fade dark spots and fight hyperpigmentation, as well as generally enhance your natural complexion. Moreover, it is packed with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which can help the skin heal from damages, cuts and wounds.
Aloe Vera Gel is one of the most popular skincare ingredients out there, and I frequently use it in my DIY Beauty products as well. It is great to hydrate the skin and restore its natural moisture barrier, but can help fight acne and blemishes as well. Moreover, it can help gently exfoliate the face.
Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Vitamin E Oil. This ingredient is here to make sure your chamomile tea face toner won’t go bad, and you will be able to store it outside of the fridge. If you don’t plan on adding the tabs, remember to keep the product in the fridge; only take it out when you need to use it. I would recommend keeping a close eye on it either way, though.
Firstly, you want to focus on making your chamomile tea. Let the bag infuse into the hot water for about 5 minutes, then take it out and allow the liquid to cool down for 15-20 minutes.
Once you have a cool liquid, it’s time to add the aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil into it. Stir the mixture for a couple of minutes, then add your distilled water. You want to end up with a completely liquid and smooth formula, so keep going until you reach that.
Lastly, pour the liquid into your chosen container.
And your DIY Chamomile Tea Face Toner is all ready to go!
