Playing around with Himalayan pink salt has given me loads of ideas, so I decided to experiment with a product I haven’t really brought many times on the blog: a face cleanser.
This formula is a slightly modified version of a couple more I posted a while back, but preserves the same effectiveness. Also, it has an exfoliating element to it!
This cleanser can double up as a makeup remover as well, making this product a lot more interesting to both craft and use.
So, are you ready to find out how to make it?
Let’s get started!
Before getting started with the crafting process, let’s talk a little bit about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
It is a very popular addition in many people skincare routines, and for many different reasons. It will effortelessly melt stubborn makeup stuck on your face, as well as gently moisturizing it. In addition to that, it will help you fight acne and prevent breakouts.
Himalayan Pink Salt, the exfoliating element of this face cleanser, will help you shrink your pores, as well as fighting and preventing acne. Also, it will help the skin balance its oil production, making sure it will receive moisture without it being too much.
Tea Tree Essential Oil is one of the most popular ingredients when it comes to treating acne and preventing breakouts, but it’s also pretty effective when it comes to reducing texture and balancing the skin’s natural oil production.
Last but not least, Lavender Essential Oil. One of the most versatile ingredients out there, this oil will moisturize your skin while fighting redness, itchiness and swelling. It will be a valuable help in fighting acne and breakouts, and will reduce texture quite a bit.
The first thing you want to do is melt your coconut oil completely. You want to work with a clear and smooth liquid, so make sure to achieve the perfect consistency before proceeding.
Once you have your liquid ready, you can easily add all the other ingredients to it and start mixing. You want to work with a smooth cleanse, so try to dissolve the salt as much as you possibly can; its properties will still be there, no worries.
And your DIY Face Cleanser and Makeup Remover is all ready to go!
