Hey, pretty people!

I have already used coffee as an ingredient in body and under-eye treatments, but never in a face mask.

The idea came to me while I was playing around one day, trying to create an under-eye oil.

If coffee has so many benefits, why not use it for a proper mask?

I combined it with a couple of other ingredients that never let me down (Aloe Vera gel and Lavender essential oil), and the results were fairly pleasing.

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own coffee and lavender gel face mask?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 Tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel
  • 1 teaspoon of Coffee Grounds
  • 15-20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly discuss these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.

ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel is one of the most popular ingredients when it comes to skincare, especially in the DIY department. This gel can help moisturize and plump the skin, while fighting annoying blemishes and breakouts; it can also act as a mild exfoliant. You can substitute this with Aloe Vera Oil; here’s how to make it!

COFFEE GROUNDS

Coffee Grounds are not only fairly common to find in many people’s kitchens, but also an amazing solution to make your skin firm and smooth. They can act as an efficient exfoliant, and can help treat acne and dark circles.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lastly, Lavender Essential Oil. This ingredient can help moisturize and plump the skin, as well as reducing redness, swelling and itching. Moreover, it can help treat acne, breakouts and cuts.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

There isn’t that much to say on this crafting process, really.

You want to start off by combining the Aloe Vera gel with the essential oil drops; the gel consistency of the aloe won’t really improve much, but we want the two to be blended nonetheless.

Once the consistency seems nice and smooth, it’s time to add the coffee grounds and mix everything together once more. You want the end result to be as smooth and cohesive as possible, so take your time and make sure the gel and the coffee really got to know each other.

All you have to do now is apply the mixture on your face. And your DIY gel face mask is all ready to go!
