Hey, pretty people!

If there is one thing I love more than makeup and DIY skincare, that’s definitely tea.

I drink it everyday, and it seems to never be enough for me. Not only it tastes delicious, but it also has many great benefits for your health – and skin!

This facial mist is not only great as a skincare supplement, but can also double up as a makeup setting spray.

Ready to find out why this product is so amazing?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1 cup of Green Tea (infused)
  • 1/2 cup of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1 or 2 tabs of Vitamin E Oil
  • A spray container

Before proceeding with the crafting process, let’s get up and personal and find out something more about these ingredients.

GREEN TEA

Green tea is often used in skincare supplements, and for good reason! It has many anti-oxidant properties that not only promote healthy and glowing skin, but also protect it against UV rays. Moreover, if you suffer from redness and acne and have fairly sensitive skin, you’ll be delighted to know that green tea will provide all the moisture and care you need without irritating it.

ALOE VERA GEL

Next, aloe vera gel. Since I don’t want to sound redundant, I will say that it has the same benefits of green tea, but it also provides a whole lot more moisture and helps setting your makeup and blending it into the skin.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, Vitamin E oil. I always like to include this ingredient because it helps preserve the life of your DIY products, but it has a few benefits of its own! If you want to keep your skin looking healthy and young, this ingredient is definitely the way to go.

Ok, enough chit-chat and let’s get down to business!

The first thing you want to do is boil your water and make tea. While the liquid is still steaming hot, add your aloe vera gel and vitamin e oil.

The key movement here is stirring: you want your mixture to be as smooth as possible, with all the ingredients perfectly blended. Keep stirring for a few minutes, and once you think you’re done give it a few more swirls.

Before pouring the liquid into the spray bottle, you want it to be completely cooled down; this will prevent your bottle from deforming. Finally, your mist is ready!

  • hi.i don’t have the vitamin e oil tab so for how much can i store this mist for in the fridge?

    • Hey, thanks for reading! First and foremost, remember to keep a close eye on it and store it in your fridge at all times. I would suggest you to finish it within a week, just to be safe; keep checking the formula if you haven't finished it by the week, and do a patch test on your inner forearm just to be sure!
