Pampering should be your #1 priority when it comes to winter skin care.
In this time of year your skin needs a lot more of loving than it usually does, and it’s your job to give it all it needs. However, why not try something new and different? The DIY kind, to be exact!
It’s kind of difficult to come up with something unique when it comes to DIY skin care. I feel like I have brought many different recipes already, and it’s not always easy to come up with something more. However, I was able to come up with this DIY Beauty Recipe pretty quickly!
I wasn’t really in the mood for the usual face mask, so I quickly jumped into another classic I adore: face sprays.
This formula is a favorite of mine, since it’s not too complicated to craft and is also a cheap alternative to a store-bought product. Moreover, it will give you a series of nice benefits to reap!
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own Kiwi-Infused Honey Water Mist?
Let’s get started!
Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and all their benefits for your skin.
Honey is a powerful natural antiseptic, and it’s often featured in many of my DIY beauty recipes. It can greatly help deminish the look of dull skin, promoting a glowy and healthy complexion right away. Also, it can help fight acne and blemishes. Thanks to its soothing and moisturizing properties, it can help boost the skin’s natural collagen production and add an anti-aging factor to your spray.
It may not seem like it, but Kiwi has quite a few benefits in store for your skin as well! Its skin is full of Vitamins that can act as an antioxidant, meaning they will make your skin look and actually be as healthy as can be. It can also help nourish the skin and making it look nice and bright.
Lastly, let’s quickly cover the Vitamin E Oil aspect. Truthfully, this ingredient has one job here: making sure your Kiwi-Infused Honey Water can be safely stored outside of the fridge without it going bad. You can totally omit it, but make sure to store the product in your fridge at all times, if you don’t plan on adding it!
The first thing you want to do is add the water and honey into your pot and turn the heat on. When the water starts to simmer, add the Vitamin E Oil tab(s) as well and mix everything together.
When the water has reached a simmering point, it’s time to peel your Kiwi; then, add the skin into the liquid and stir all the ingredients together for a couple of minutes.
Now that the liquid is almost at a boiling point, turn off the heat and let water infuse. You want to leave it untouched for a couple of hours at least.
Once the time has passed and the liquid has cooled down completely, it’s time to strain it. You want to repeat this step a couple of times at least, to make sure the water is completely smooth.
All you have to do now is pour the liquid in your spray container.
And your DIY Kiwi-Infused Honey Water Mist is all ready to go!
