I know the name and ‘subject’ of this diy face mask may seem intimidating; however, I can assure you this recipe is much easier to craft that what you may think!
This formula only features 4 ingredients you can easily find in your kitchen. They are milk, earl grey tea, lavender essential oil and cornstarch.
Seems simple enough, right?
You can get a lot from these ingredients, and from this mask in general.
It’s a simple solution to fight acne and blemishes, as well as add some much needed hydration to your skin. It will plump your skin in barely one application, and I am sure you’ll quickly become addicted to this formula.

Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s find out something more about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
Milk is a recurrent ingredient in my Winter-Inspired DIY recipes, and has a few interesting benefits for your skin. For starters, milk has great moisturizing properties, and can help efficiently cleanse the skin and promote a clear and healthy complexion. Moreover, it can help fight acne and blemishes.
Earl Grey Tea is my favorite tea ever, and one of the best hydrating and plumping ingredients you could ever ask for. In fact, its antioxidant properties will help your skin get rid of blemishes and acne.
Lavender Essential Oil is one of the most versatile skincare ingredients out there, and is perfect to cover multiple annoying issues. In fact, this oil can hydrate and plump up the skin, as well as fight itchiness and redness. On top of that, it can help fight texture and acne. You can click here for a complete guide on essential oils in skin care!
Lastly, let’s just spend a quick word on Cornstarch. This ingredient may seem like a wild card here, but I did not add it for its oil-control benefits. As a matter of fact, it’s just here to help you thicken up the milk.
The first thing you want to do is heat up your milk, and keep going until it reaches a simmering point. Once it’s there, add the Earl Grey Tea bag(s) and let the milk reach a boiling point.
Make sure to keep an eye on it, since it can easily turn into a big mess! As soon as the milk is boiling and the tea has perfectly infused into it, it’s time to take about 3 tablespoons out of it and mix them with cornstarch.
Add the essential oil drops as well, while you’re at it. Once the mixture has thickened up, allow it to cool down completely.
And your DIY Lavender Earl Grey Latte Face Mask is all ready to go!
