You can make one for every craving you may have, and they’ll have you smelling like heaven with barely one use. And I don’t think I have ever made one as delicious as this one right here!
This Lemon & Coconut Cake body scrub smells exactly like a Summer or Spring picnic, sweet and tangy at times. It’s the perfect base for a citrus-y perfume – I also like to use it as a base for shaving.
This product is perfect not only to simply smooth out your skin, but to enhance your complexion and fight cellulite and hyperpigmentation. Also, it is perfect to have your body smell incredible and give it a boost before moisturizing it.

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
Coconut Oil is an amazing moisturizing ingredient for your skin, the perfect addition here to prepare your skin for more moisturizer later. It is great to help you fight cellulite and imperfections (like acne), as well as hyperpigmentation and razor bumps. Also, it is a good ingredient to use either before or after shaving.
Sea Salt, obviously, is the real exfoliating element of this body scrub. This ingredient works great to cleanse your pores deeply, as well as eliminate dirt and build-up that may cause acne. Moreover, it is perfect to fight razor bumps, smooth out your skin and soften it.
Lemon Juice may seem like a wild ingredient here, but I have to admit I quite enjoyed adding it into the mix. Full of Vitamin C, this liquid is perfect to brighten up your natural complexion and fight hyperpigmentaion. Additionally, it can tighten your pores and act as a gentle exfoliant.
Grapefruit Essential Oil is yet another crucial ingredient that can keep your skin looking and feeling nice and healthy. It can help fight acne and prevent breakouts, as well as heal cuts and wounds, possibly. On top of that, it can help enhance your natural complexion.
Yet another citrus oil, Bergamot Essential Oil is full of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that make it perfect for acne-prone skin. In fact, it can not only help heal acne and prevent breakouts, but can control your natural oil production as well. Furthermore, it adds a bit of a fragrant smell to your Lemon & Coconut Cake Body Scrub!
Lastly, let’s talk about Lemon Essential Oil. This liquid is the perfect detoxifying element of this scrub, helping the skin heal from acne, breakouts and wounds. Moreover, it can help gently exfoliate and enhance your natural complexion.
Firstly, you want to soften your coconut oil; I usually melt it down completely for my recipes, but this different approach turned out to be quite faster and gave a nice consistency to the scrub itself. I left it in the microwave for 30 seconds, but I would recommend keeping an eye on it to prevent it from melting down.
Secondly, add your essential oils’ drops to the coconut oil; then, pour the lemon juice in as well. Now, mix everything together until it reaches a liquid paste-like consistency.
Lastly, add the sea salt and mix everything for a couple of minutes more.
And your DIY Lemon & Coconut Cake Body Scrub is all ready to go!
