Do you want to literally glow up overnight using the Light Feminine method? Click here!
I have been going down the rabbit hole of DIY Beauty Products lately, and have been trying to re-create as many Lush copycat recipes as I possibly can.
This process is challenging indeed, but I will admit it’s been quite fun as well. I have been rewarded with satisfying results, and the time spent at home during Quarantine has been flying by – for the most part, at least.
Today, I am taking a spin on a formula I brought before on the blog; body sprays.
This formula isn’t exactly a proper perfume, but something lighter and definitely more natural. Groovy Kind Of Love is a fragrance that swings between exotic, floral and wood-y notes, and tends to lean more on the intense side.
Nonetheless, it’s the perfect smell for summer and vacations!
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Lush Groovy Kind Of Love Body Spray?
Let’s get started!
Like always, we are going to do a quick breakdown of these ingredients and find out more about their benefits for your skin.
Aloe Vera Gel is one of the most popular skincare ingredients out there, and I frequently use it in my DIY Beauty products as well. It is great to hydrate the skin and restore its natural moisture barrier, but can help fight acne and blemishes as well. Moreover, it can help enhance the smell of the essential oils and make the fragrance more long-lasting.
Bergamot Essential Oil is amazing when it comes to balancing the skin’s natural oil production. Also, this oil can reduce inflammation and redness, as well as fight and prevent acne and breakouts.
Rosewood Essential Oil can be an oil-balancing ingredient for both dry and oily complexions, as well as a great treatment for acne and blemishes. It can also fight acne and texture, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is full of anti bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great ingredient to fight acne, blemishes and scars. It can moisturize the skin, but can control its sebum production as well. Also, it can make your complexion look plumper.
Lastly, let’s just quickly touch the Vitamin E Oil subject. This ingredient will prevent your Groovy Kind Of Love body spray from going bad, but could also be omitted; however, if you don’t plan on adding it, you should remember to store the product into your fridge.
Firstly, you want to add your aloe vera gel and Vitamin E Oil into your water; then, stir everything together and make sure all of the ingredients are blended together.
This is going to take a little bit of patience, but you definitely want a smooth, clear liquid to be the base of your spray!
As soon as you have your liquid ready, it’s time to add the essential oils drops into it. Once again, you want to mix the ingredients for a couple of minutes to make sure they really got to know each other.
Lastly, pour the mixture into your spray bottle.
And your DIY Lush Groovy Kind Of Love Body Spray is all ready to go!

I was just googling how to make a lush type body spray and ended up here. My favourite is the Dirty body spray. It would be amazing to have a recipe for that! I’ve been using it for years but after finding out about the way they treat their staff (my sister worked for them) I’m just not comfortable giving them my money any more, so I’m desperate for a diy alternative.
Hey, thanks for stopping by!
I have just checked out that body spray, and I will try to come up with a close recipe right away.
I actually have no idea what goes on in Lush, I just thought they had bomb products and wanted to replicate those formulas myself; it's not the same of course, but I really like the process!
Did you ever figure out a formula for Dirty? I’ve never smelled it, but my boyfriend says he loves it and it’s out of stock everywhere. I wanted to surprise him with some!
Hi! I have just checked it out; I am planning on posting the recipe soon, and I do hope you'll keep an eye out for it ✨
