Hey, pretty people!

I have brought many DIY Lush copycats when it comes to body scrubs. However, since summer is quickly approaching us, I thought it would be good to start focusing on these kind of recipes as well!

The great thing about Ocean Salt is that it can also exfoliate your face, and not only your body.

It has quite high levels of hydration, and the ingredients are fairly common and cheap. Moreover, it smells incredible!

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Lush Ocean Salt Face & Body Scrub?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • A little more than 1 cup of Sea Salt
  • 1/4 cup of Avocado Butter
  • 1/4 cup of Coconut Oil
  • 15 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
  • 10 drops of Lime Essential Oil
  • A bowl

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your skin.

SEA SALT

Sea Salt is, of course, the real exfoliating element of this scrub, as well as its ‘solid base’. Its texture is perfect to eradicate dead skin cells from your skin’s surface, as well as reduce itchiness and inflammation; also, it can promote even and brighter skin, as well as absorb moisturizers better.

AVOCADO BUTTER

Besides playing a key role when it comes to hydrating your skin, Avocado Butter is basically a jack of all trades. It can help reduce the appearance of dark spots and razor bumps, as well as lightening your skintone. Moreover, it can help fight and reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

COCONUT OIL

An all-time favorite for both hair and skincare, Coconut Oil is yet another moisturizing element of the Ocean Salt scrub. It can help reduce redness and inflammation, and fight acne and blemishes as well. Also, it could help reduce the appearance of razor bumps and dark spots.

GRAPEFRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL

Grapefruit Essential Oil is a pretty refreshing element of this scrub. It is full of antioxidant and antibacterial properties that help fight acne and blemishes, and can promote healthier-looking skin right away.

LIME ESSENTIAL OIL

Lastly, let’s talk about Lime Essential Oil. This ingredient is great when it comes to promoting not only healthier skin in general, reducing the appearance of dark spots, but firminess as well. Moreover, it can cleanse the complexion from impurities (like dirt and build-up in general), and also promote brighter skin.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

The first thing you want to do is melt your coconut oil; you want to reach a completely liquid state, and stir it from time to time to ensure a smooth consistency. Once it’s there, add the essential oils’ drops.

Thirdly, add the fragrant oil to the avocado butter, and mix the two for a couple of minutes; the final consistency should resemble a liquid paste.

Lastly, add the sea salt and stir everything together for a couple more minutes.

And your DIY Lush Ocean Salt Face & Body Scrub is all ready to go!
