Just like I mentioned a little while back, I have been obsessing over re-creating Lush products lately. It has been a fairly complicated and time consuming process, but I must admit I have been rewarded with quite pleasing results!
I know body sprays aren’t exactly all that popular, but I find them to be quite fun to craft.
The process is a lot easier than what you may think, and the flavors completely customizable. Also, making one yourself gives you the possibility to go for an all-natural solution.
Sex Bomb by Lush is the perfect fragrance for spring: full of flower-y scents, it will make you smell like a nice blooming garden in no time. Moreover, you could also use it as a skincare solution!
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Lush Sex Bomb Body Spray?
Let’s get started!
Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a couple of their benefits for your skin.
Aloe Vera Gel is one of the most popular skincare ingredients out there, and I frequently use it in my DIY Beauty products as well. It is great to hydrate the skin and restore its natural moisture barrier, but can help fight acne and blemishes as well. Moreover, it can help enhance the smell of the essential oils and make the fragrance more long-lasting.
Perfect for dry skin types, Jasmine Essential Oil can act as that little extra kick of moisture your complexion needs. It’s also a great antibacterial liquid, which makes it perfect to fight scars and possibly reduce acne and eczema. Moreover, it can help even out your skin tone and fight discoloration.
Clary Sage Essential Oil is perfect for either dry or oily skin types, balancing your natural oil production and providing a cooling and soothing sensation. It can help with irritation, redness and rashes, as well as prevent acne breakouts.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is full of anti bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great ingredient to fight acne, blemishes and scars. It can moisturize the skin, but can control its sebum production as well. Also, it can make your complexion look plumper.
Lastly, let’s just quickly touch the Vitamin E Oil subject. This ingredient will prevent your Sex Bomb body spray from going bad, but could also be omitted. However, if you don’t plan on adding it, you should remember to store the product into your fridge.
Firstly, you want to add your aloe vera gel and Vitamin E Oil into your water. Then, stir everything together and make sure all of the ingredients are blended together.
This is going to take a little bit of patience, but you definitely want a smooth, clear liquid to be the base of your spray!
As soon as you have your liquid ready, it’s time to add the essential oils drops into it. Once again, you want to mix the ingredients for a couple of minutes to make sure they really got to know each other.
Lastly, pour the mixture into your spray bottle.
And your DIY Lush Sex Bomb Body Spray is all ready to go!
