I was thinking about my very first DIY Mario Badescu Facial Spray recently, and came up with a few interesting ideas.
Since I have a soft spot for masks and scrubs, I decided to craft up a product that would be the best of both worlds; this item is quite easy to craft, and only requires a total of three ingredients.
Ready to find out which ones?
Let’s get started!
Before getting started, let’s do a quick run-down of these ingredients.
Chamomile tea is not only the main exfoliating element of the product, but is also a great hydrating ingredient as well. It’s a pretty good healing additive as well.
Now, aloe vera oil. Truthfully, you could use whichever carrier oil you want, but using this one will enrich the properties of the product, as well as keeping it closer to Mario Badescu’s original formulation. You can find out how to make your own aloe vera oil here.
Lastly, lavender essential oil. This oil is one with the best properties for both skin and hair, including providing moisture, refreshing and fighting acne and imperfections.
The first thing you want to do is make your chamomile tea; leave the bag in the hot, boiling water for about 5 minutes, then take it out and carefully remove the grounds.
Secondly, add the essential oil drops to the aloe vera oil and pour the chamomile grounds into it. Lastly, give the mixture a good stir.
And your Mario Badescu inspired facial mask/scrub is all ready to go! Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, then rinse it well with lukewarm water.
