Today’s face mask is an almost completely new formula for me, but one I have been enjoying nonetheless. The crafting process is a little bit more lengthy than a ‘regular’ DIY Face Mask, but the results are absolutely impressive.
Milk is a fairly common ingredient in most people’s kitchens, but I had never really tried to make a skincare solution out of it. It was an interesting route, but I am certainly happy I took it!
So, are you ready to find out why this DIY creamy face mask is so amazing – and how to make it yourself?
Let’s get started!
Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
As simple as it may look like in your kitchen, Milk is an amazing hydrating and moisturizing ingredient. Besides that, it can also help gently exfoliating and cleansing the complexion, as well as helping clear acne and blemishes.
Honey is another great ingredient when it comes to skin types that seek hydration and help clearing acne and blemishes out. In addition, it can also add a much needed glow to the complexion.
Lastly, Lavender Essential Oil. This ingredient is very much present in my DIY skincare products, and holds a whole lot of benefits for you and your skin. In fact, it’s great when it comes to evenly moisturizing and fighting itchiness and redness, as well as fighting acne and blemishes.
The first thing you want to do is start heating up your milk in a small bowl in the microwave. You don’t really need it to be at a boiling point, but it needs to be hot nonetheless.
After a little bit, it’s time to add the honey and blend the two ingredients together.
Once the liquid is ready, it’s time to take a tablespoon of milk and mix it with one tablespoon of cornstarch into a separate bowl.
As soon as the two are smooth you want to pour the mixture back into the milk and stir everything. Repeat the process with the remaining cornstarch, and keep mixing everything until it reaches a creamy texture.
Lastly, add the Lavender essential oil drops and stir the mixture again. And your DIY creamy face mask is all ready to go!
