Hey, pretty people!

I am once again back with yet another shampoo bar recipe!

These formulations are really growing on me, and I would highly recommend you to give them a shot too; they are incredibly cheap to make, and the overall crafting process is simple and quick.

Shampoo bars also have a kind of fun element to them, since you can use whichever mold you prefer. Also, you can customize the quantities to avoid wasting products and ingredients.

This Milk and Honey Shampoo Bar is halfway between a proper, ‘regular’ shampoo and a ‘hair food’ formula. It has a highly nourishing power, and is just perfect to naturally highlight your reflexes without using hair dye.

So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Milk and Honey Shampoo Bar?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 1/2 cup of Milk, whichever you prefer
  • 4 Tablespoons of Honey
  • 1/4 cup of Castile Soap
  • An ice tray and a freezer
  • A bowl

Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and a few of their benefits for your hair.

MILK

Milk is full of nutrients and proteins, which are not only essential to mantain hair’s health, but strengthen it as well. Also, elements in milk like calcium and vitamins can help promote a faster growth. Moreover, this liquid can help soften the hair and keep it shiny.

HONEY

Honey not only can lighten up your hair, but moisturize it as well; not going to lie, this is definitely my favorite ingredient of this shampoo bar! It also promotes healthy hair and scalp, minimizing breakage and split ends. It’s pretty amazing when it comes to adding shine as well.

Alright, let’s get crafting!

Firstly, you want to heat up your milk; you don’t want it to reach a boiling point, but to be hot enough for the honey to melt into it.

Now that your milk is ready, place it in your bowl and allow it to cool down for a little bit. Then add the honey and stir everything together.

Make sure the honey has dissolved completely, and then set the liquid aside to cool completely.

Once you have a lukewarm milk and honey drink, it’s time to add the castile soap. Needless to say, you’ll need to stir everything together once more.

You want to keep going for a couple of minutes at least, and make sure the consistency is completely liquid and smooth.

Lastly, pour the formula into the ice tray and pop it into your freezer to chill for a couple of hours.

And your DIY Milk and Honey Shampoo Bar is all ready to go!
