I have already brought a similar DIY on the blog, but I thought I could spice that recipe up a bit.
Both sprays are designed to work for both your hair and skin, but how about adding a few things and make it even better?
5 ingredients may seem like a lot, but they are so common and inexpensive to come by that they will seem like nothing.
Ready to find out why this spray is so amazing?
Let’s get started!

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s talk a little bit about these ingredients.
Coconut oil is easily one of the most popular ingredients when it comes to hair and skincare, and for good reason! It’s an amazing moisturizer, and a good ally when it comes to improving skin elasticity and texture. Its antioxidant properties will help you fight acne and blemishes, too. When it comes to hair, this carrier oil will not only keep it well hydrated, but also add much needed shine, promote hair growth and detangle it.
Vitamin E oil is truly optional here, but you may want to toss it in if you want to add a bit of life to your product without having to store it into the fridge. This oil, however, will reduce the appearance of scars, all the while combating acne and making your skin softer. It’s also pretty great to add shine to your hair!
Lavender essential oil is truly a good ally when it comes to fight dry skin conditions like eczema, and reduce acne and scarring. Moreover, it’s perfect for promoting hair growth and health!
Lastly, tea tree oil. If you think fighting acne and blemishes is the only thing that this ingredient does, than think again! Tea tree oil is great for fighting texture and promoting softer skin, but it also has quite a few benefits for hair. In fact, it will promote hair growth, scalp health and add shine to it.
If you’re using Vitamin E oil, it’s best to firstly dissolve it into the water before adding all the other ingredients. Meanwhile, you can melt your coconut oil until you have a completely clear liquid.
Once you have mixed Vitamin E oil into the water, add your melted coconut oil and essential oils. Stir the mixture for a couple of minutes, as well as you can.
All you have to do is pour the liquid into the spray bottle, and the multipurpose mist is all ready to go!
You can use this spray pretty much every day and however you like, for hair and skin equally.
If you plan to use it on your skin, it could work as a nice ‘pick me up’ spray throughout the day or a nice addition right after your moisturizer, day and night. You could do the same for hair, of course. However, I believe the best use to be right after a shampoo, with damp hair; spray the concoction generously and brush the hair through, and you’ll see results right away!
