Hey, pretty people!
I have recently crafted up a few DIY Skincare products with Earl Grey Tea, and I have been loving the effects so far.
The products I played around with were all designed to make your skin feel softer and plumper, but that didn’t seem to be enough for me.
I thought I could do something better, especially when it came to imperfections. I didn’t want to take the plumping effect away, but I did want the mask to have more benefits.
This exfoliating mask is not only very gentle, making it a perfect choice for sensitive skin types, but also pretty effective and inexpensive. Fun fact: it has also become one of my favorites!
Ready to find out what’s it made of?
Let’s get started!
YOU’LL NEED
- 1 bag of Earl Grey Tea grounds
- 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
- 7 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
- 7 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil
Per usual, before jumping into crafting we are going to talk a little bit about these ingredients.
EARL GREY TEA
Earl Grey Tea is a wonderful addition to your skincare routine if you aim at adding much needed moisture to your face. Its antioxidant and plumping effects will be a relief for your complexion, and it will also make your skin feel softer and healthier.
COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil is one of the best solutions when it comes to hydration. It will moisturize and cleanse your skin from imperfections, as well as making your skin plumper and much healthier.
LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL
Lavender essential oil is truly one of the most eclectic essential oils out there. If you suffer from blemishes and redness, you may want to invest in this precious liquid. Also, it’s a pretty amazing for preventing and treating acne and scars.
TEA TREE OIL
Lastly, Tea Tree essential oil is the best addition to this mask if you want to keep acne and blemishes at bay. Not only that, this ingredient is amazing to fight texture and keep your skin soft, healthy and refreshed.
Ok, let’s get crafting!
The first thing you want to do is make your tea. Leave the tea bag in the hot water for about 5 minutes, than take it out.
While the tea is infusing, melt your coconut oil completely. You want a smooth, clear oil to be the base of your mask, not some clumpy mess.
Once the oil reaches the perfect liquid texture, add the essential oil drops and the tea grounds. Mix everything together and your exfoliating mask is all ready to go!
This mask is perfect for adding moisture to your skin and fight imperfections, and paired with a kick-ass skincare routine it will lead you to your most beautiful complexion ever!
