Hey, pretty people!
Since I am in a face mask frenzy at the moment, I thought I would bring yet another one of my cocktails to the blog.
This recipe came about while I was crafting another face mask.
It had very similar ingredients, but I wanted to try a somewhat similar recipe adding one of my favorite ingredients ever: aloe vera.
This face mask is made from only 3 ingredients, and you probably already own them!
If you don’t have rose water at home, you can easily make it yourself: click here to find out how.
Alright, let’s get started!
DIY GEL FACE MASK INGREDIENTS
- 2 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
- 1 Tablespoon of Rose Water
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
Before jumping straight into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your skin.
ALOE VERA GEL
Aloe Vera is one of the most popular ingredients when it comes to skincare, and for good reason! If your skin seems thirsty and in need of a good recharger, this is definitely the way to go. It’s also a great tool when it comes to acne, blemishes and general imperfections.
ROSE WATER
This is frankly one of the most underrated skincare products out there. It can be used on any skin type, even more sensitive ones, and pairs perfectly with Aloe Vera. It’s a natural toner, meaning it will help re-establishing the skin’s natural pH balance and oil production. Also, it’s full of antioxidants that help heal and strengthen the tissues. It can help clean and reduce the appearance of pores as well! You can click here to find out how to make your own Rose Water at home.
HONEY
Honey is one of the most amazing ingredients when it comes to adding much needed glow and fight dullness. Moreover, it’s great for moisturizing and fighting acne and blemishes!
Ok, let’s craft this DIY Gel Face Mask!
I like to start off by blending the honey with the rose water.
Since they have similar consistencies they will be easier to mix, and the final cosistency of the product will greatly improve.
Once I am happy with the liquids, I add the aloe vera to the mixture and give it a final stir.
The mask will have a gel-like consistency, so it will be a little slippery. Make sure to keep a towel within reach!
