Hey, pretty people!

A few days ago I was thinking about an old post of mine where I talked about making rose water at home (you can check it out here); I don’t really know why, but the infusing part struck a cord in my brain.

I started thinking about it with insistence, and I quickly realized I wanted to bring back the same process to craft something new up; but what? I didn’t really have many ideas, and didn’t really know what I could possibly pair the rose petals with.

I kinda let it go, until a couple of hours later I thought about the most obvious combination: chamomile tea! The two pair farily well together, and can offer a whole lot of benefits to the complexion; needless to say, this product is the perfect result!

So, are you ready to find out what’s so special about this Rose-Infused Face Spray?

Let’s get started!

YOU’LL NEED

  • 2 cups of Chamomile Tea
  • A handful (and maybe some more) Rose Petals
  • 1-2 Vitamin E Oil tab(s)
  • A spray container

Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and all their benefits for your skin.

CHAMOMILE TEA

Chamomile Tea is not only a delicious beverage that will help you fall asleep, but also the perfect ingredient for more sensitive skin types. This tea is full of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that can help treat and fade scars, wounds and acne, and promote a healthier-looking complexion. Moreover, it promotes a more even skintone and can reduce the appearance of under-eye circles and puffiness.

ROSE PETALS

Full of antioxidants, Rose Petals are quite the underestimated ingredient when it comes to skincare. They have natural astringent and antibacterial properties that make them a great ally when it comes to fighting acne and controlling breakouts, but can shrink your pores as well. In addition, they can moisturize and strengthen the skin.

VITAMIN E OIL

Lastly, I just wanted to spend a few quick words on Vitamin E Oil. The tabs are not a necessary ingredient, but they do prevent the face spray from going bad. If you don’t plan on adding them, remember to always store the product in your fridge.

Alright, let’s get started!

The first thing you want to do is make your Chamomile Tea. Leave the bag infusing into the hot water for about five minutes, then take it out. This would be the perfect moment to add the Vitamin E Oil tab(s)!

While the tea is still hot, add the Rose Petals and leave everything infusing for about 3-4 hours. You can stir the mixture from time to time, but remember to give the petals time to infuse without disturbing them too much.

Once the time has passed, sift the liquid through a sieve and make sure it’s completely smooth.

All you have to do now is pour the mixture into your spray bottle. And your DIY Rose-Infused Chamomile Face Spray is all ready to go!
