Hey, pretty people!
I have brought a few DIY Shampoo recipes on the blog, but this format is entirely new for me.
In all honesty, it wasn’t exactly easy to come up with a satisfying recipe. I kept going back and forth between the ingredients and I never really seemed to get a satisfying result.
After a whole lot of experiments, I was back at square one; that’s when I decided to re-formulate the whole thing and only go for super simple ingredients.
This formula is perfect for summer and spring, since it brings a whole lot of freshness to hair and scalp. Also, it’s super easy to craft!
It does target blonde hair specifically, but fear not; it certainly will boost the natural reflexes of dark hair as well!
So, are you ready to find out how to make your own DIY Shampoo Bar for Blonde Hair?
Let’s get started!
YOU’LL NEED
- 1/2 cup of Chamomile Tea
- 3 Tablespoons of Honey
- A good squeeze of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of Castile Soap
- 15-20 drops of Chamomile Essential Oil
- An ice tray and a freezer
Before jumping into the crafting process, let’s quickly talk about these ingredients and their benefits for your hair and scalp.
CHAMOMILE TEA
Chamomile tea is awesome when it comes to fighting dandruff and promoting a healthy scalp, as well as promoting hair growth. This liquid can also brighten your hair up, enhancing the glow of any hair color.
HONEY
Honey not only can lighten up your hair, but moisturize it as well. Not going to lie, this is definitely my favorite ingredient of this shampoo bar! It also promotes healthy hair and scalp, minimizing breakage and split ends. It’s pretty amazing when it comes to adding shine as well.
LEMON JUICE
Yet another ingredient that can lighten your hair, Lemon Juice is also a powerful liquid when it comes to detoxifying the scalp. In fact, besides enhancing your natural reflexes, this juice can help promote a healthier growth while getting rid of dandruff and itching.
CHAMOMILE ESSENTIAL OIL
Lastly, let’s spend a few words on Chamomile Essential Oil. This liquid can help add softness and shine to the hair, as well as enhance its natural reflexes. It can also fight dandruff and itchiness.
Alright, let’s get crafting!
Firstly, you want to make your chamomile tea.
Let the bag infuse into the hot water for about 5 minutes, then take it out and allow the liquid to cool down for 15-20 minutes. Once the tea has cooled down, add the honey and lemon juice and stir all the ingredients together.
As soon as this liquid base is ready, it’s time to add the castile soap and essential oil drops and mix everything once more. You want the texture to be completely smooth and cohesive, so keep going for a couple of minutes at least!
Lastly, pour the mixture into your ice tray and pop it in your freezer for a couple of hours before using it.
And your DIY Shampoo Bar for Blonde Hair is all ready to go!
