Hey, pretty people!

I have already approached the Chaotic Academia aesthetic in this article, but I wanted to take a broader route this time.

This is quite a bold style, and I do recognize it might not be for everyone – especially if you’re fond of the classic Academia look!

In this article, we’re going to examine a total of 20 items, divided into 3 bigger categories: Tops, Bottoms and Outerwear.

So, are you ready to find out how to create the best Chaotic Academia capsule wardrobe?

Let’s get started!

BEFORE WE START

Chaotic Academia certainly is one of Academia’s lesser known subgenres; because of that, it hasn’t really exploded as a proper aesthetic just yet. It is more personal and customizable compared to the previous styles we analyzed. However, it fits a much more ‘rebelious’ audience.

This aesthetic leaves you much more room to play around with accessories and items in general, wearing things incorrectly or in unusual ways in general. It allows you to fully express yourself in whichever way you feel most comfortable with. It has a much more relaxed vibe to it as well.

THE OVERVIEW

A big strength of this aesthetic is the fact that a lot of the pieces (if not all) can easily be thrifted, which is a route preferred for a more authentic feel.

This way, you’re going to be able to find enough items to create the perfect capsule for your taste, and they’re going to cost significantly less!

  • Printed/logo t-shirt
  • White t-shirt
