I have been caressing the idea of bringing this How To Glow Up Overnight post for a while now, but I wanted to really sit down and gather my thoughts before doing so.
I wanted to craft this post to share my top tips on how to see almost instant results with a super simple routine, and not just your regular skincare/haircare routine. Of course, the constant use of these practices will give you even better results, but this post is just all about ‘quick-fixes’, if you will.
So, are you ready to find out how to glow up overnight almost effortelessly?
Let’s get started!
Do you want to literally glow up overnight using the Light Feminine method? Click here!
I don’t really have many things to say about quick-fixes when it comes to haircare. This is because there are quite a few hairtypes out there, and many of them need particular care that quick little fixes won’t be able to give.
However, there are a couple of things you could do to give your hair some love!
This may look like a super weird practice, and people may side-eye you while you’re cutting off split ends watching an episode of your favorite Netflix show. However, this can turn into the perfect quick activity to promote a healthier hair growth!
You don’t have to detect every single split end, but cut off as many as you see. Make sure to be super careful while doing so!
Your regular shampoo and conditioner routine cannot be replaced, let’s be real now. However, you can use a little something if you don’t really feel like washing your hair completely.
A spray or dry shampoo is the definition of quick fix when it comes to haircare, and doing it before sleeping is actually the perfect moment. You are going to roll your head around while sleeping, so that the formula will run around your hair and evenly distribute. It’s going to truly help this glow up overnight routine!
To complete your haircare glow up, here is the oldest practice in the book: brushing your hair.
This step is effortless and easy, and will only take you a couple of minutes. On the other hand, it can make a difference in the appearance of your hair the next morning.
Moreover, it can help the dry shampoo spread better through the hair and effectively cleanse it.
Let’s be honest with each other here: nothing is going to fix every single problem your skin may have if it’s not a well-thought, spot-on skincare routine that is applied morning and night.
That being said, here are my top tips for the fastest quick-fix for your face ever!
Even if you don’t really wear makeup, you want to clean your skin and remove every single particle of dirt it may have on.
Firstly, I remove my makeup with some micellar water, without trying to get the most off of my face. Then, I go in with some cleansing foam or milk. Lastly, I use a charcoal soap to make sure I have removed everything from my face.
Exfoliating is the best way to get a smoother and texture-free face, and it’s a super simple practice as well.
There are tons of facial scrubs on the shelves of your favorite store, but you can easily craft your own as well.
Firstly, you may be thinking, ‘wait, there are millions of face masks out there! How am I supposed to pick the perfect one for me?’. Well, it all starts off by figuring out what’s your skin type.
You can take a look at this post to find out, or simply observe your skin throughout the day; is it more dry or oily? Is it super sensitive? Acne-prone, even?
Once you have it all figured out, it’s time to pick your mask. However, if you don’t feel like buying one, how about crafting the perfect mask yourself?
You can take a look around my blog and you’ll find one for every possible craving you may have!
Removing annoying hair from your face is actually a quick practice, and it will only take a couple of minutes before you see your face actually changing!
This part can be a little painful if you have particularly sensitive skin, so you may want to proceed very slowly and gently, and possibly consider other alternatives – like shaving creams. On the other hand, it’s one of the most effective glow up practices ever!
We all have something to say about our brows and lashes – mainly bad things. Firstly, they’re never too bushy, long or perfectly groomed for our likings, and there are not enough products on the face of the Earth to help us. In short, they’re the ones who need to glow up the most!
If you’re not really into spending your coins at the store trying to find that flawless serum, you can easily craft your own.
Once you have put your serum on your brows and lashes, it would be a great idea to brush them and use a lash-curler as well. It may not seem like much now, but it will absolutely make a difference in the long run!
Exfoliating and hydrating your lips is going to make a major difference in the way they look, even if you do it only once. That’s the best part about this whole glow up routine!
There are thousands of lip scrubs out there, but I personally prefer to craft mine up; you can check out this recipe for my favorite lip plumpling scrub and make it yourself!
Once you have exfoliated your lips, it’s time to drench them in lip balm or gloss. This is going to make your mouth as soft as can be, it’s a step you don’t want to skip.
There are hundreds of tonic solutions out there, and the price range is wide and varied. If you want the perfect formula for a drugstore price, rose water is the way to go.
This product is quite cheap and effective, perfect for fighting texture and large pores, as well as keeping breakouts and pimples at bay in general. Also, you could even make it yourself, in the comfort of your home!
If you have annoying pimples randomly appearing on your face, this is the perfect time to use tea tree essential oil on them.
However, you want to use the smallest amount possible, and pat it super gently on the pimples. Also, allow the liquid to sit on the skin for a couple of minutes before using a moisturizer.
Your skin restores and repairs itself at night, and the perfect way to help it is with a good moisturizer. You want a true glow up? Moisturize daily!
There are so many products for you to choose, but if you prefer something more natural why don’t you go for a true oil? They’re also perfect for dry skin types!
My personal favorite is the Gold Elixir Rosehip Seed Oil by Revolution Skincare (review here), but another great choice would be Sweet Almond Oil. You can consult this guide on carrier oils to pick the perfect one for your skin!
There are a couple of ways you can take care of your body to have a glow up overnight. Moreover, most of them involve your shower or bathtub!
A good body scrub can actually help you transform your skin in just a couple of seconds, and you can make one in less than a minute!
Exfoliating the body before shaving is perfect to get all the dead skin cells away.
Shaving your body after exfoliating is great to effictively eliminate all the dead skin cells gathered on your skin, as well as furtherly improve your skin’s texture.
I always go for razors that have at least 4 blades, to ensure a more effective shave.
Now that you have exfoliated and shaved, it’s time to moisturize. You really don’t want to skip this step, since this is the practice that will keep your skin looking and feeling good in time.
Similarly to what we said before, you really want to use quite the heavy-duty moisturizer for your body. Just like before, feel free to use a proper body oil for this practice as well.
I promise you, this step is one of the most crucial ones when it comes to having a glow up overnight!
You don’t really need to go over the top when it comes to your nails. In fact, you only need a base coat!
You want to cut and file your nails, and then soak them in warm water and soap for 5 minutes. Then, push back your cuticles. It may seem pretty simple, but this is what is going to promote your nails’ growth greatly!
To finish everything off, coat your nails with a transparent base. Make sure to coat the nails entirely, top to bottom!
Lastly, to finish your glow up overnight routine, a good amount of hand and feet cream is going to be just the icing on the cake.
These two products are going to make a tangible difference even after one application, and you can also find super cheap alternatives at the drugstore. Moreover, you can use proper carrier oils as well.
If you want a more ‘heavy-duty’ effect, you could wear socks and gloves to bed. This is more of an extreme solution, but it could be useful if you needed it!
