Hey, pretty people!
Perfumes and fragrances are a pretty new topic here on my blog; however, I have to say they have become a recent passion of mine.
I have never really put too much thought into scents until recently, and I am slowly trying to learn more and more about this fascinating world.
I talked about my Top 3 Femme Fatale fragrances quite recently, but I am starting to believe this post should have actually taken precedence!
In this post, we’ll talk about a few tips and tricks that will have you smell like an actual snack all day long; some of these are more basic, while others you might have never heard of before. Nevertheless, all of these will help you make your scent long lasting and immediately recognisable!
So, are you finally ready to find out how you can smell good all day?
Let’s get started!

Now, I have absolutely no doubt that you take good care of your hygiene and I am not trying to suggest otherwise; however, there’s a small step you can take while showering/bathing that you might be overlooking.
Exfoliating your body is a little action that can have a great impact on the appearance of your skin; also, it doesn’t have to happen with store-bought scrubs either. You can simply use a loofah sponge every other day!
This action will help you get rid of dead skin build up, as well as make your skin feel nice and soft. And your scent will last a lot longer on clean, soft skin!
From shower gels to soaps, the world of bathing/showering products is wide, interesting and even confusing, at times; however, one thing is for certain: there is something for everybody!
A lot of these products come at a more than reasonable price, and they are a fun and inexpensive way to make your scent last longer – or even add a little spice to it. They might even make you feel better about your skin and body!
This is another action that can make a big impact on the long-lasting effect of your perfume, and you can go about it any way you prefer.
If you have a scented moisturizer that smells the same (or quite similar) as your fragrance, then all the better; however, an unscented moisturizer will work just fine.
The cream will act as a sort of ‘base’ for the perfume to cling on to, and will definitely have a big impact over the strength of your fragrance. It’s also perfect for Summer, when your scent can evaporate in just a few hours!
Much like using a moisturizer, using a body oil is, once again, a nice way to spice up your fragrance – as well as make it even more long lasting.
Body oils usually come in many different scents, but I have a little tip for you. If you go online (or maybe look at your perfume’s packaging), you’ll be able to find all of your scent’s notes; they are usually divided in Top, Middle and Base Notes. Now that you have them all figured out, you can pick a body oil accordingly!
If your perfume has Vanilla or maybe Sandalwood notes in it, maybe you can pick something similar and use it as a base for your scent.
This little hack might be a bit better than straight up spraying perfume on your hair, both for your hair and perfume sakes!
Spraying a tiny bit of fragrance on your hairbrush is a nice way to add a long-lasting scent to yourself; also, it will make you smell nice without people realizing where the smell comes from. Again, it is a very cool trick to use during Summer!
This is another fun way to make your perfume more long-lasting; I especially love doing this during Fall and Winter with my sweaters.
Spraying perfume on your clothes is great when it comes to give your scent a little boost, as well as save a little product.
I give precedence to the clothes I wear more often, of course, but I don’t necessarily wait until the day I wear them to do this; in fact, I found that even leaving them in my closet for a while won’t damage the scent.
I have been doing this since I was a kid, because my mom and grandma taught me this. The most popular scent when it comes to sachets in my house is Lavender; however, you can find so many of them to fit your personal likings!
Storing them in your underwear drawer is a nice way to add a lovely scent to your clothes, and they usually retail for cheap prices; they’re also a cute and fun little gift idea for someone!
If you don’t really feel like going for sachets, other items might do the trick just fine; I have previously used wrapped soaps (where you can still smell them quite well), and they have worked perfectly for me.
This is a trick I have learned about quite recently; I have to say I am already in love with it, though!
Lightly spraying your bedsheets and pillows will help you smell nice even while you sleep; also, rolling around will actually embed your skin and hair with your favorite perfume. Or you can even create your own pillow scent!
You can craft your own bedding spray with just some water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil; once again, I’ll recommend using Lavender!
Lastly, let’s touch on the most bpracasic way to smell good all day: properly applying your perfume!
The best places to apply your fragrance are behind your ear, at the base of your throat, in your inner elbow, on your wrists and, lastly, behind your knees.
Once you have sprayed your fragrance, don’t rub it in; simply let it absorb on your skin!
♡ Thank you so much for reading! I hope we kept each other company for a while. Have a wonderful day! ♡
