Hey, pretty people!
Between 2023 and 2024 I have discovered a big passion for fragrances, one that I still am cultivating as we speak – and that I’ll probably cultivate for the rest of my life.
We have discussed about fragrances together a few times before – 3 times, to be exact. We have discussed about my Arab perfume collection, 4 date night fragrances to try, and a readers’ favorite: My Top 3 Femme Fatale Perfumes!
In this post, we’re going to take a look at a few fragrances that perfectly fit the Fall vibe, and are usually marketed for this season.
Some of them I have actually owned and wore myself, while others I have tried curtesy of friends or the nice people at Sephora who just let me roam around and try new stuff because they’re wonderful.
So, are you ready to get some Fall fragrance inspo for your Fall It Girl season?
Let’s get started!
BY THE FIREPLACE – by Replica (Maison Margiela)
I have put this fragrance first because it’s just so good and unique in my opinion! I was able to try it out thanks to a friend who kindly gifted me the Replica discovery set last Christmas, and immediately fell in love with it.
This fragrance isn’t exactly for the faint of heart – quite the opposite! Its Top Notes are Cloves, Pink Pepper and Orange Blossom; its Middle Notes are Chestnut, Guaiac Wood and Juniper; lastly, its Base Notes are Vanilla, Peru Balsam and Cashmeran.
The opening is incredibly strong, which definitely got me when I firstly sprayed it. It dries down quite nicely and a lot less smoky, but it does deliver a bit of a punch at first.
AUTUMN VIBES – by Replica (Maison Margiela)
I mean, we’re talking about Fall fragrances – we just can’t leave out a formula called Autumn Vibes, can we?
Its Top Notes are Pink Pepper and Cardamom, while its Middle Notes are Nutmeg, Maple and Carrot Seeds. Lastly, its Base Notes are Cedar and Moss.
Autumn Vibes’ opening is kind of similar to By The Fireplace’s, although with a different drying down effect that definitely encapsulates the typical scents of Fall.
If you’re looking for a typical Fall perfume, you should definitely try it out!
JAZZ CLUB – by Replica (Maison Margiela)
Okay, I promise this isn’t just a collection of Replica fragrances – this is the last one, but I just couldn’t leave it out!
Included in the Discovery set I was talking about before, this is another perfume that stole my heart from the get-go. Its Top Notes are Pink Pepper, Neroli and Lemon, while its Middle Notes are Rum, Java Vetiver Oil and Clary Sage. Lastly, its Base Notes are Tobacco Leaf, Vanilla Bean and Styrax.
This is a fan favorite among the Replica fans, and for good reason! All of their fragrances are quite unique, but there’s just something about their ‘Fall-ish’ ones that gets you. You should totally go and try it out!
BLACK OPIUM – by Yves Saint Laurent
This one has been a classic Fall fragrance for years, and last year I finally gave up and tried it. Needless to say, I did end up falling in love with it!
I have seen people on both end of the spectrum when it comes to Black Opium (which is kind of normal when we’re talking about fragrances, let’s be real), but I have to say it’s definitely a fitting formula for Autumn. Especially if you love coffee!
Its Top Notes are Pear, Pink Pepper and Orange Blossom, while its Middle Notes are Coffee, Jasmine, Bitter Almond and Licorice. Lastly, its Base Notes are Vanilla, Patchouli, Cashmere Wood and Cedar.
There are multiple different versions of this fragrance, ranging from green notes (Black Opium Illicit Green), cherry ones (Black Opium Over Red) and even one with cacao notes (Black Opium Extreme)! Just head to the closest Sephora to see (smell?) if there’s one that suits your vibe!
BACCARAT ROUGE 540 – by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Now, this is one of the most popular fragrances of recent years, and one of the richest you’ll find in this collection.
Baccarat Rouge 540 is definitely a unique scent, one that’s perfect for people who enjoy the more ‘warm-spicy’ side of the perfume world – woody and amber-y tones, more specifically.
Its Top Notes are Saffron and Jasmine, while its Middle Notes are Amberwood, Hedione and Ambergris. Lastly, its Base Notes are Fir Resin, Cedar, Sugar, Ambroxan and Oakmoss.
It’s definitely a richer fragrance, both in notes and price, but one that might be worth the investment for your signature scent. Certainly worth a try!
LIBRE – by Yves Saint Laurent
Another perfume that has been the star of many TikToks, Reels and general public hype in recent years!
Accompanied by an alluring commercial starring UK singer Dua Lipa, Libre has become the signature scent of many – including one of my closest friends, who’s always quite happy whenever I comment on it.
This fragrance is definitely a versatile one, albeit a little strong for some (both in its ‘regular’ form and its more ‘extreme’ form, Libre Intense) – but one that definitely deserves the hype (in my opinion!).
Its Top Notes are Lavender, Mandarin Orange, Black Currant and Petitgrain, while its Middle Notes are Lavender, Orange Blossom and Jasmine. Lastly, its Base Notes are Madagascar Vanilla, Musk, Cedar and Ambergris.
If you have seen it around and always wanted to try it (but never ended up doing so), consider this your sign!
♡ Thank you so much for reading! I hope we kept each other company for a while. Have a wonderful day! ♡
