Hey, pretty people!

Feminine energy is a broad term, and the discussion around it can quickly turn tricky and downright confusing more often than not.

People always like to weight in on this topic, and at times we forget that certain definitions hold a personal element to them. Everyone has their own interpretation of this concept, which is why femininity is often declined in a million different facets.

In light of this, I would like to make a few clarifications on the aim of this feminine energy guide, as well as its contents.

The following six tips and tricks are a mere recommendation, a way to ‘challenge’ youself to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. I am in no way, shape or form saying that there is something wrong with the way you present yourself or in your personal concept of ‘feminine’ and ‘femininity’.

Alright, now that we’ve got all of this out of the way, it’s time we get down to business.

These 6 tips will teach you How To Always Look Classy and Feminine On A Budget!

WARDROBE STAPLES

I know I specified this would be a budget-friendly post, and it still is – it’s just that this very first suggestion does imply an investment element.

Wardorbe staples are key pieces you can easily mix and match to create multiple outfits. They usually are solid colored clothing items, and tend to lean more towards the minimalistic side.

I will definitely work on a detailed article with actual clothes and outfit ideas, and I will just give you a couple of recommendations for now.

As a general rule, aim more towards tailored pieces that suit you well, and that look more classic. Classic blouses, tailored trousers, tasteful dresses.

RETAILERS, SECOND-HAND, DISCOUNTS

Anybody who automatically looks down to retailers, second-hand and discount stores should really try and give them a second chance. Those are the places to be!

You can find hidden gems in all the corners of a thrift store, especially when it comes to old-school, classic pieces. The best part about it is that you’ll find them at a super convenient price!

KEEPING IT SIMPLE

Like I said before, basic pieces are the way to go – there’s no need to over-complicate anything.

Go for basic colors and shapes that will never go out of style. In my experience, white and black are always a good choice, but you don’t have to prioritize them if they’re not really your vibe.

Another piece of advice I have for you is to avoid flashy or overly trendy pieces that won’t hold their value. Something may be trending now, and maybe it will go on for a couple months, but that’s about it. Make sure to pick something because you truly enjoy it, and not because you’re following a trend!

LET’S TALK SHOES

This right here, is where you actually want to invest your time and money in: shoes!

Don’t underestimate the power of a comfortable, high-quality pair of shoes. Spending a bit more on shoes can mean you’ll get to wear them for a long while, ultimately having an actual impact on your finances.

On the more frivolous side, shoes can actually make or break an outfit!

Make sure to keep a pair that can be paired easily with a bunch of outfits, and that you feel comfortable wearing all day.

ACCESSORIZING STRATEGICALLY

If you don’t really like accessories, no worries.

You might want to try a couple of jewelry or miscellaneous ones just to see where you stand, before actually purchasing something. It’s a nice way to start stepping outside of your comfort zone, and you could borrow some from friends or family.

Much like we discussed earlier, you want to go for the classic, simple-style pieces. Gold is always a good idea (if you prefer silver, go for it!), and simple statement pieces shouldn’t be downplayed – like necklaces and scarves.

CREATIVITY

At the very beginning of this feminine energy guide, we have discussed how personal the whole ‘femininity’ concept is, which means that providing your own spin to it is essential.

Taking risks and experiment with different pieces to create unique looks that fit your personal style might sound intimidating, but I promise it will come much more easily once you try to do so a couple of times.
