The Ultimate DIY Plumping Lip Scrub – Plumps, Exfoliates and Moisturizes!

I have already posted a DIY Lip Scrub recipe on this blog, and truthfully it’s quite a basic one. You have your brown sugar and your coconut oil, there’s really nothing special about it.

I have been trying to spice things up a bit when it comes to skincare, and give my old DIYs new twists and try to make them more effective, more quickly.

This recipe requires a few more ingredients than the last one, but I promise that the hunt is worth it; this product is the ultimate plumping lip scrub, and you’ll have proof once you try it.

YOU’LL NEED

• 1 teaspoon of Honey
• 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil
• A Vitamin E Oil tab (1 teaspoon)
• 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
• Up to 5 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil

Please note that this measurements won’t fill an empty container! If you plan to make more scrub to store, feel free to double the quantities.

 

 

 

Ok, let’s get crafting, shall we?

Firstly, you want to melt your coconut oil. You can also add the honey to it and let them melt together, so you’ll be sure to have a perfectly smooth liquid to work with!

Now that you have your liquid base ready, it’s time to add the Vitamin E Oil (be careful if you’re breaking a tab into the mixture!) and cinnamon oil.

Stirring is an essential part in most of my DIYs, and this one makes no exception; if you feel like your mixture is all combined, give it an extra couple of stirs. You can never be too sure, you know?

Once you have a smooth and perfect liquid, pour the brown sugar into it and mix everything some more.

Finally, your lip scrub is all ready to go now!
